This year’s Super Bowl had plenty of hard-hitting impact—both on the field and on Twitter. 15.3 million people in the U.S. saw Tweets about Sunday’s telecast of Super Bowl XLVIII on FOX, garnering a total of 1.8 billion impressions throughout the night. Twitter activity peaked at 10:00 p.m., with a total of 301,400 Tweets sent during that minute—that was immediately after the Seahawks became Super Bowl champions for the first time and also just after Esurance aired their single commercial spot for the night.  That commercial spot, which included a call to action with the hashtag #EsuranceSave30, drove over 1.2 million Unique Authors to send 1.9 million Tweets about the brand, making it the most-tweeted brand of the night.
